The DN8 Rods entertainment module consists of a large assembly of glowing, rotating rods. This assembly scatters coins randomly within the module before gradually sweeping them into the collection area.

The rods are made from an exciting plastic that absorbs light along its length and emits this at its ends. This has the effect of making the ends of the rods glow, all of this effect is amplified by securing the rods in mirrors that scatter reflections.

The box's interaction comes in the form of a sophisticated motion sensing system. This detects the presence of a person in proximity to the box and then alters the speed of the rotating assembly accordingly.

The combined effect of lights, mirrors and it knowing you are close really grabs attention. This in turn converts into higher donations. Due to this box being quick and easy to use we recommend that this is best suited to high footfall areas, where it is not desirable to have people stood by the box for a long period of time.
